ABOUT ERICA
You’ve got something to say – but you’re not sure how to say it.
“I think of her like a human coach. Not a life coach, exactly. Not that she would say she was either.”
“It’s deeper than that and it’s so much more than communication. It’s spiritual, it’s trusting your instincts, it’s communicating honestly, it’s honoring your needs – it’s all of that.”
“At the heart of everything she does is a longing to be a human being who connects other human beings so we can all be better human beings.” – M.S.
Less Briefly This Time…
I’m Erica – an author, educator, and an expert in navigating all things awkward.
I’ve spent my whole life immersed in words; fascinated with the way they connect us and committed to helping people get their ideas out of their heads and onto paper.
A publication once called me “a talented story-teller with a knack for humanizing the hard stuff” – which is just fancy-speak for saying I’m great at being awkward and talking about it. I’m also decent at guiding others through vulnerability, too.
If you think you know me, you probably do! You don’t get great at something without having lots of experience with it; in 2015 my medical struggle went viral.
The world watched me lose my eye over a piece of glitter. A fake back-story came out. Rampant bullying, hate-sites, threats against my children and a massive amount of harassment followed.
I did eventually get the opportunity to tell the truth to a wide audience. That experience only strengthened my belief in the importance of communication and connection – and proved exactly how vital it is that a person be able to tell their own story.
When someone else is controlling the narrative, truth is impossible.
YOU DESERVE TO TELL YOUR OWN STORY.
